Burleey Methodist - inside

The church has been completely transformed in a £630 000 scheme which has converted the church into a multi-purpose building housing a modern worship area and all other facilities previously housed in the old church hall, which has been sold.

The old wood pews have been removed and replaced with brightly coloured chairs and attractive blue carpeting throughout. The church chancel area has been completely refurnished with contemporary style communion table, pulpit and lectern, and a fellowship area at the church entrance houses a kitchen and cloakroom facilities. The old gallery round three sides of the building has been floored in to make meeting rooms and a surprisingly large hall which also has kitchen facilities.

Rooms in the remodelled church will be available for hire for local community groups.

Congratulations to our minister, Helen Harrell, on being awarded a Postgraduate Diploma in Theology and Religious Studies from the University of Leeds on 9 November 2007.
